Theatreland in Blackpool
By the end of 1940 the West End’s theatrical stars, producers and agents had relocated to Blackpool Lancashire, making it the headquarters of Theatreland for a duration in the war.
Shows destined to go to London, contract negotiations, regional theatre tours, many of these were organised and produced in Blackpool where business could be carried on. This talk looks into some of the history surrounding this aspect of Wartime Blackpool.
