See part-hidden examples of heritage lettering processes and hear stories of how they were made.
Then have a go yourself creating your own sign on reclaimed wood.
TYPOGRAPHY WORKSHOP:
This 'Sign Making' workshop will be delivered by artist Lisa Wigham. Lisa will share skills from this tradition to get you started on layout of text and colour. Make your own sign on reclaimed wood to take away for your home or garden.
Suitable for curious beginners or experienced makers.
ABOUT LISA WIGHAM:
Lisa is a traditional Sign Painter based in Blackpool. She applies her love of this now ‘Endangered Craft’ to projects for people’s homes, businesses and as public art
Spaces for this event are limited. Booking is essential.
The event will involve a 60 minute walking tour with some standing.
Lunch is included.
