It was the skill of 18th Century sweet makers which led to the creation of sweets with patterns and letters in their centres. From this developed sticks of lettered rock.
Today, rock is as iconic in Blackpool as the Tower and Illuminations. This is the story of the generations of people who have made rock and their customers, who still crave this delicious sweet treat.
