Blackpool’s coastline has had its fair share of shipwrecks over the last 300 years and maybe even before that.
It was not an uncommon thing for Fylde folk to liberate cargo from the stricken vessels before the Coast Guards or Excise Officers could get to them.
Join speaker Barry McCann for this talk as he looks at the notable shipwrecks from 1755 right up to 2008 and how Blackpool and surrounding coastal towns quite often benefited from them.
There will also be the opportunity to see an old telescope from the Golden Mile on display in the activity hub.
Just come along – no need to book! FREE admission.
