Heritage Open Days: The Old Electric

Join us for Heritage Open Days 2023!

'Memories from The Old Electric' is an event exploring people’s memories while discovering the new. We would like to encourage people to get to know our venue through a self-guided audio tour of the building, exploring the rich history of the creative space and site as a place for cultural entertainment (which celebrated 100 years in 2022).

There will be an opportunity for people to share their stories of the place from Cinema to music venue and the many nightclubs to present day.

Poets and writers will collect these and then on Sunday 17^th at 7pm for one hour the poets and writers will share the stories and poems created from people’s memories of the place.
