We really recommend it. Even if you’re a Blackpool resident with a free ticket, we recommend you book in advance on our website as we’re expecting to be busy and only have limited spaces available each day. If you don’t book in advance, we won’t be able guarantee you’ll be able to get into the museum, although we’ll always try our best to provide you with a ticket on the day.
Please only book a ticket if you intend to use it to enable as many people to get access to the museum as possible.
Please choose your day and time slot carefully when booking your tickets and if you need to amend your booking or aren’t able to book online then please email info@showtownblackpool.co.uk or call us on 0808 175 6929.
The only people who don’t need to book in advance are our VIP Showtown members, who get free fast track admission, and those returning with an annual pass ticket.
All of our tickets are non-refundable but we do understand that life sometimes gets in the way of a visit to Showtown. So, we’re happy to transfer your booking to a more convenient time if you contact us in advance of the original booking date and time.
You can do this by emailing info@showtownblackpool.co.uk or calling 0808 175 6929.
Yes, please select the ‘Carer’ ticket type when you make your booking and remember to bring proof of your carer status with you on the day. We usually ask for DLA/PiP letter or something that states a member of the party requires regular care as proof of your carer status.
To try to limit queues and to ensure that everyone has the best possible experience we’ve introduced 30 minute timed slots. As long as you arrive some time within the 30 minute slot then we’ll still be able to let you in.
No, once you are in the museum you can relax and spend as much time as you like exploring and having fun!

Groups and schools can fill in our enquiry form online to make a booking or give us a call.
Your tickets will be sent out to you in an email (the one you gave us when you booked). You’ll be able to spot them as they have a QR code on them. Please bring the e-ticket with you on your phone, tablet or you can print the ticket at home. You’ll need the QR code to get entry to the museum.
If you are a UK tax payer, adding Gift Aid to your admissions price means that we can claim back the tax that you have already paid on the price of your admission, so for every £1 you spend at our tills we can claim back an extra 25p. As a charity, this extra income is so important to us and it doesn’t cost you anything. If you don’t pay tax in the UK then just select no when we ask you to gift aid.

Showtown is the most family friendly museum around and one of the best places to hang out if you are a future star in the making. We do ask that children under the age of 14 visit with an adult so that we can always be sure that the young people in our museum are kept safe.
All we ask is that you treat other visitors with respect and thoughtfulness so everyone can enjoy themselves. Any behaviour which impacts on visitors and staff, including anti-social or threatening behaviour or causing damage to the museum will result in you being asked to leave.
