Blackpool neon

Neon lighting was first introduced to the Blackpool Illuminations in the early 1930's as part of a move to freshen up and modernise the displays. These designs were produced by pioneering neon companies such as Claudegen and Iionite Ltd, who produced work on a grander scale than had ever been seen before.
